Traveling to Argentina
Argentina welcomes millions of visitors each year, drawn to this South American country’s varied climates and landscapes, ancient culture and history, and world-class cities and attractions.
Foreign nationals from almost 100 countries can travel to Argentina visa-free for tourism purposes and stay for up to 30, 60, or a maximum of 90 days, stay durations depending on nationality.
All other foreign travelers should apply for the appropriate Argentina visa, before traveling to Argentina, based on the purpose of their trip to Argentina, at their nearest Argentina embassy, consulate, or representation office abroad.
Certain foreign nationals, who are required to apply for an Argentina visa prior to travel, may be eligible to apply online for the Argentina Electronic Travel Authorization (AVE), provided they hold a valid US visa.
